Let’s make art!

I view myself as an artist. Not just in photography, but also in my other ventures! I grew up in theatre, music, dance, and art classes. I find that this foundation of experience allows me to better position myself as a photographer for these art forms, as I know what to look for, anticipate, and shoot for! (pun absolutely intended)

A man with a beard and mustache, wearing a microphone headset, sits at a table with a serious, intense expression, wearing a white shirt with rolled sleeves and a gray vest. He is resting his right arm on the table, with his hand near his face, and his left arm on his hip. In the background, there are three people in formal attire standing in shadow.

Theatre

I worked professionally in theatre for over 9 years and am adept at adapting to quick, dramatic lighting, fast-paced environments, and rapid changes, and at anticipating blocking and moments on stage.

Art

As a professional gallerist/curator with over six years of experience, I deeply appreciate art and its power to make a difference in people's lives. I’ve worked with many incredibly talented artists across a variety of mediums to capture and celebrate their work, and I would love to do the same for yours.

Dance

Fun fact: I danced for over 15 years and went on to teach for another six! This lets me use my experience and knowledge of dance to focus on the moments and techniques you are looking for in a shot. Pointed toes, perfect ballonné in your leaps, straight legs… I look for all of that!

Music

Growing up with two professional musicians as parents and in the band/choir instilled in me a deep respect for music. Today, I work for a leading music institute in WNC! Like my other specialty photography areas, I have developed skills in working with musicians of all kinds — working silently in the wings and anticipating moments in the music that speak to audiences everywhere.

My pricing for these specialty offerings varies, depending on the length of the shoot, lighting requirements, distance, and other restrictions often found with many of these sessions. Please contact me for a complimentary consultation for your event!
